Here’s how we begin gardening for the year. I’ve pruned the grape vines and taken soil sampler for the vegetable garden. Hard frosts have killed the tillage radish/oat cover crops (that’s good). The soil is saturated and will take at least six weeks to dry out with a normal amount of rain. It was a lovely day and I really enjoyed being out.
