Finally on May 10 I was able to work the soil here, delayed for two days by a broken starter assembly on the tiller. It took more than 8 hours of work over two days because the weeds had taken hold of the entire garden. Soil in parts of the field were still sticky but dried quickly in the lovely spring weather that included sunshine (only for 2 days), lower relative humidity, and the usual northerly winds.
