I removed the protective row cover material over the root crops and the rows of kale and chard. The cover did a reasonable job of limiting damage by leaf miners and flea beetles. The weeds weren’t inhibited, however, as they had almost taken over parts. The buckwheat cover crop is coming on strong along with a few volunteer sunflowers - and plenty of weeds, of course!
