I began scything and clearing the residue of the crimson clover and annual rye grass cover crops. I think that I won’t let them go without attention again. But the grape vines are going wild, though their productivity is in question possibly because of a freeze that stopped the initial buds from growing. Waiting for tomatoes and grapes, I plan on clearing the garden area for a cover crop for next season.
